Child Sexual Abuse is a scary thing but talking about does not have to be!
Let’s talk powers with Children!! With the help of our friendly Super Buddy, the conversation can be easy and not scary.
Your body belongs to you and so do your private parts. Private parts are the parts which are covered by a swimsuit.
You have four private parts namely Lips, Chest, Bums, Part between the legs. Only you, your mother and doctor can touch these parts. The doctor can touch it in the presence of your parents.
You have the power to differentiate between touches. A good touch will make you feel happy and comfortable such as a handshake, giving high five, etc. A bad touch will make you feel sad, worried, embarrassed, confused, etc. Bad touch would include somebody touching your private parts. Sometimes you might feel uncomfortable without a touch too such as someone showing you wrong gestures, showing you wrong videos, etc.
If someone gave you a bad touch, you have the power to say NO to the person. Moreover, you also have the power to run away from there and share it with people you trust.
You can share your worries and your experience of a bad touch with the people you trust. The trusted person will solve any problem for you. It can be your teacher or mother or grandmother or grandfather or any other reliable person. But remember the person should be above 18 years of age. If nobody takes action, you can call on the Child helpline 1098.
You have the power to raise your voice against uncomfortable behaviour. You should never remain quiet. It’s not your fault. Keep sharing it with all the people you trust until they take action against it.
